but in the meantime I have a very narcissistic thought: are you ever tempted to narrate your own life like you're being followed around by a political reporter? "Early acquaintances describe her as focused, driven, and private to the point of secretiveness - but as we discussed her tax plan over cranberry strudel, Sapote was nothing if not forthcoming." That kind of thing. What would yours be?

I tend to think of one of those biographies (embarrassing confession #872) so it would be something like "in light of future events, her decision to [blah blah] is tinged with a deep irony".
