Hey, I hope reading in Enews was on the list. *g* It's a complete and total AU. I am not as wizardly with the canon trivia as I would like, but though we have suspicions that canon!John was raised in the South on military bases, I don't think we've ever seen him farther south than Colorado.

This is one of those "if all of their lives had gone completely different from the start" AUs. I don't think these versions of them are ever going to end up on Atlantis or in the Pegasus Galaxy, unless those are also metaphors.

Hey, I'm willing to bet you've actually met some of the people whose fingerprints are all over this story, though they're all a lot older than both of us and have mostly moved other places now.
