I love so much that you are willing to write ambiguously. Letting me work and worry at something is the quickest way to make me interested, and yet it's so hard to trust one's audience that much. I keep hoping that Sheppard's will never be fully explained - I'm not sure I shall get my wish. Leave me sink holes, and I will be thrilled to bits. Hmmm... that last sentence rather calls for a Lawrence of Arabia icon, but I don't have one.
