sapote | Hm, I'm watching Skins.

Apparently my fanatic loyalty to the first version of something that I see holds true here too, because I like Generation 1 much better so far, though I guess I'm only into Generation 2 yet. Generation 1 was like reading my own adolescence backwards, but I also thought about it and looked up the air dates and I was still in college when it aired - I was maybe three years older than the protagonists at that point? So there's a good reason why the more current seasons feel a lot more Kids These Days and a lot less like reliving my own time in the key years of poor decision-making.

Anyway, I'm pretty crazy about seasons 1 and 2 and love everyone, possibly except Cassie, but that's probably because she's a little too much someone I would have known and felt bookishly concerned about. There was a boy I had a crush on in high school who looked just like Sid in every way.

But basically I mainlined the first two seasons in two days, and I am now using more profanity than I was on Wednesday.
