OMG it is Christmas Eve. Not one cookie has been baked, and our Christmas tree (which is less than a meter tall) is still sitting in a bowl of water on the front porch.
On the other hand, my mother is up and about again \o/. I want to thank everyone for their good wishes - I've never done the online secular-prayer-equivalent request thing before, and I was surprised at how much those comments made me feel calmer about the whole thing, which, in turn, made me better able to be a support for my mom. So yes. Thank you.
Now it is time to actually think about baking some spritzer, so I'm going to wish everyone a merry Christmas - including people who don't celebrate it, by golly, may you have a really good everyday day tomorrow - and go cream some butter and sugar. Perhaps indulge in the singing of carols. That kind of thing.
