My roommate let me borrow her laptop and download things! My roommate is awesome.

Okay, show, I kind of hate you right now. And also, two ways I do not want to die: messy, radiation-related deaths and gut wounds. Thanks, RTD, for inflicting those on characters of whom I am fond.

I actually have not managed to watch the death scene - I skipped it - because if there was messy radiation-related footage, or even the sound of messy radiation-related dyings, I was going to throw up for reals, and that is not the way to start a weekend. If there's any chance that Owen shot himself in the head to spare himself being conscious for the last bit, please alert me, because I'm never going to be able to rewatch this episode otherwise. And that would be a shame, as I would like to vid Gwen/Tosh again, in a sad sad way.

I really hate that Tosh was, like, trying to redeem herself in the eyes of the universe even to the last. And that she was all "it's okay! Don't worry about me! I really don't matter that much! Thank you for sharing your oxygen, I'm really very grateful!" TO THE END. I say this in a way that does not compromise my love for Tosh at all, but Suzie death > Tosh death. I don't care if Jack Harkness is a Sad Puppy, I want someone to catch some blame and some rage from these women. Tosh's life was ruined for something fairly minor (she built a thing that made a sound that hurt people's heads, seriously, Torchwood and UNIT and the Doctor do worse every single day) she was brainwashed and held in captivity and even Jack, on releasing her, essentially held her hostage and isolated her from her loved ones for years. No wonder she had bad self-esteem and was kind of a control freak; that woman had been abused at every turn, by everybody. And RTD kept beating her up. All of her love affairs were doomed; she caught the worst of the Sexy Captivity in the cannibal episode; seriously. I'm a little mad right now.

I hope she and Suzie come back from the dead, jointly, and burn UNIT to the ground.

Warning for rageyness. I still want to hear from my Friends in the Computer if you liked the episode, because seriously, we can disagree and still converse! I promise! I'm not one of those fans, I don't think!

we were spared gross radiation stuff. yay?

I'm kind of with you on Suzie and Tosh coming back from the dead and attacking. I'm kind of imagining Suzie and Tosh watching Torchwood's antics from the afterlife until Tosh realizes what total fuckups they are...

And Tosh is like "seriously? The best years of my life? I could have done so much better." And then she wreaks poltergeist havoc. And has a creepy ghost romance with Gwen.

Any chance you feel like, like, telling me exactly what happened in the death scene? I'm pretty scared to watch it. I was hoping he'd just get vaporized, but no, they had to get detailed.

They didn't show anything having to do with Owen's death. Promise.

Also, grrr.

Okay. I don't know that I'll really be relishing a rewatch any time soon anyway, but it's good to know.

This is actually the first time a character I've liked in an open canon has been killed off. These strange new feelings, how do I handle them?

I hope you post a reaction post, btw, since it sounds like you've watched.

Yeah, it was just sort of a fade to white kind of thing.

This is actually the first time a character I've liked in an open canon has been killed off.

Really? It seem to happen to me all the time. :(

I'll be your grief counselor. You know what helps? Fic & vids. Lots of them.

Yeah, Whoverse is my first open canon, or at least the first one that I've followed closely. (My silly arms-length relationship with SGA doesn't really count, since right now I'm just ignoring everything that happens that I don't like.) Fic and vids sound good. Except, dammit, now they all have to end sad.

when owen says "it's starting" he stands up to meet his death, sorta, and then everything just goes white. They did not, thankfully, actually show anything icky, which I did fear after Tosh's description of what would happen.

Thanks. That's good to know. Poor Owen. Of course, he was pretty doomed since midseason. It's Tosh that's pissing me off, though I don't mind the actress wanting to maybe do something else, given that she's brilliant.
