I finally got through the DW season finale

And I feel like my brain is a dryer filter full of canon lint.

I'm sure there were parts of it that I liked, but I can't tell because the whole thing is still canon scramble in my head.

I did not like the Ship Resolution. But I wouldn't. I am the kind of Rosefen who likes to be unhappy. *g*

My initial reaction: One thing: the best commentary I ever saw on an episode of Star Trek: Enterprise (the one with Nazi space aliens) was a remark the following day from Warren Ellis to the effect that they could have simply replaced the entire 45 min. episode with a placard that said "Fuck you for watching. Regards, The Mgmt." So...that is kind of where I am right now?

And now, I have moved on where I can be all "yes there were lots of things I liked". But? Rose getting Faux!Doctor as a consolation prize? Not cool. (Also, he's part Donna. I feel like we have to invent some special new category of genderfuck just to cover that relationship. Like, I don't even have a label.)

I am consigning the last 10 minutes of that ep to the special hell where bad canon goes because I can't deal with it.

Yes, re: 50%Donna/50%Doctor/Rose, it was just kind of ::blink:: they didn't think through that at all, did they? God bless tv writers and their wee crackpipes.

Some wee spoilers had leaked my way while I waited to see the episodes, to the point where I was hoping that the Doctor had knocked Rose up a la Papa Don't Preach. But no. This is my sadface.

I probably should have, but as Phnelt said, my remedy to Who was to watch Victoria's Secret. I think it worked, because I did not do any sobbing. (This offended Phnelt because I am a huge crier and yet didn't cry at the heart&soul-breaking of that episode)
