Hee, well, as far as I've gotten with that plot is to take "Our Mrs. Reynolds" and substitute names. So it's not original yet, but maybe it'll go somewhere.
You know, I think that Whedon sense of home and family is something that's missing from Torchwood. The Torchwood team really still feel like strangers to each other to me. Maybe they'll bond in the future, or maybe that mutual distrust is just a sort classic-sci fi edginess that Davies will want to maintain. It certainly leaves a gap for fanfiction to fill in, though!
