1) Merlin continues to be freaking adorable, is just about all I have to say about that. But I miss Evil Gwen Cooper.

2) True Blood is pretty okay so far but when do we stop seeing her creepy safeword-ignorant brother copulate? It is almost as queasythreatening as real het porn, yo. I think I am going to build a tiny fort of French romcoms and never come out.

On a somewhat different note, I had a crush on Anna Paquin when her hair was dark but now it is not which is a shame because otherwise there would be nothing but flailing and squeaky noises from me

3) Mad Men is delicious, so far. Season 1 is so subtle that I have to watch almost as closely as I do while vid-sourcing. Favorite scene so far: when Betty Draper first goes to the therapist's office, and she's sitting there fidgeting with the watch Don gave her earlier in the episode and being fluttery and acting like her feelings are very silly and don't really matter and she doesn't know why a big important man like Mr. Psychologist would care about her tiny woman problems anyway. And then she unclasps the watch and sets it on the table and her face just changes, like instead of Mrs. Don Draper there's a real person looking out. It's just very well done. I love tiny important things.

I get the most kick out watching Betty and her housewife friends interact, because - they act just like my grandmother, which is very era-appropriate. They say the same things. They hold their arms the same way. They make the same jokes. I guess it is the arrogance of a teenager to forget that old people used to be young and pretty and that the way they acted then wasn't crazy old-fashioned but just the way normal people behaved.

Merlin is making me explode with squee these days. The only reason it won't overtake SPN in my affections is that there's so little of it; one more episode to go, and then no more - if we get a second season at all, it won't be for quite a while. Sigh.

I watched all of True Blood but was never able to get really into it. As for when do we stop seeing her brother copulate? I'm gonna spoil you: Never. I think I'm just too young for that show.

I love BBC-length seasons, though. That's the main reason I have trouble keeping up with American television - there's just so much of it! It goes on and on and on! After five seasons there's more than a hundred hours of source, which, if I were to try to get caught up on that much of anything that wasn't buffy-level spectacular I would get so sick of everyone.

Which is why I fell out of SGA and haven't found much of anything new.

Oh god, really? It keeps on all season? ::sigh:: I might have to quit this show. I don't want to! Anna Paquin's accent is so pleasingly horrible! I just don't like watching loathsome people do it.
