but the second he's back in Ten's timeline he becomes the Doctor's coatboy. I think that's very interesting.

I totally read Jack's look as "guilty/embarrassed" when Martha found the hand.
That's how I read it as well. Yay!
Also, I LOVED the fact that Jack used to visit kid Rose. Aww!
