The exclamation points edition
1) My Jack-Doctor-Rose canon? SO NOT BROKEN. I mean, oh my god, Jack used to go see Rose when she was growing up. Potentially creepy! But awesome! They love Rose! They miss Rose! Yay!
2) ZOMG the Doctor/Jack angst! So much angst! Yay for the angst! The "man who can't die" speech? I loved that. And it made the canons snap together while still leaving lots of space for cool backstory in TW. Well done, Davies!
3) Jack spent a century and a half trying to be the Doctor, but the second he's back in Ten's timeline he becomes the Doctor's coatboy. I think that's very interesting.
4) Can this show handle a supervillian? What is the Doctor's history with the Master? Does this mean hero/villian slash? \o/
So in short my OT3 is so huge I can barely see the show around it, but I am delighted with this episode, if a little confused with the B plot that I was ignoring in order to better analyze Jack's every facial expression. (I find Ten's facial expressions hard to read, since they all look like I has teeth! to me. Ten is adorable! Really! But man, he has big teeth)
Oh, oh, 5)! I totally read Jack's look as "guilty/embarrassed" when Martha found the hand. When I say I'm interrogating the text from the wrong perspective I apparently mean the wrong perspective. Which, again. Makes me yay.

Yes! I noticed that too!
Does this mean hero/villian slash?
Oh! God, I hope so!
I totally read Jack's look as "guilty/embarrassed" when Martha found the hand.
That's how I read it as well. Yay!
Also, I LOVED the fact that Jack used to visit kid Rose. Aww!

He's played by that dude from Life on Mars. I love that we have a regenerating Doctor and a regenerating villian.

SO. MUCH. SENSE.
Of course, that makes a bit much of a Bad Wolf parallel for me. And also, then why did TW London suck so bad?
But still. SENSE!
GOD, I love this show.
