A girl in my senior seminar class is doing a paper on fan fiction and its relationship to the queer community. After class I went up to her and blurted out "can we be friends?" She was quite startled. And possibly frightened. It was just that my brain was shorted out by FAN FICTION PERSON IN REAL LIFE does not compute!

Perhaps I should have added I AM NOT AN LJ-STALKER I SWEAR! That would have helped!

Of course I was all like "Do you read metafandom? I have that fan communities & the internet book out of the library, but I'm returning it soon, you should check it out. OMG WHO ARE YOU ON LIVEJOURNAL." Except I didn't say the last part aloud.
