DW 6x03

The Geth from DW season 1 plus the ship from Moffat's first episode on Who plus pirates. Also, wtf was that shit with the wedding ring? Are aliens supposed to know which jewelry means what when placed where on which humans now? I don't remember that half the time.

I was too busy headclutching over how boisterously nonsensical the plot was to notice the first third of Shirtless Rory Time, and when one of my OT3 is shirtless and I don't even notice you know it's bad. So I guess we will leave this review at: shirtless Rory time! Excellent! And something's sure going to happen next week!


Though on an OT3 note, while the writing was still a little... off at the end, the last bit in the TARDIS was nice. I like how Team TARDIS are all mutually concerned about each other. I do like that there is a good deal of canonical respect building between Rory and the Doctor, even if the start of the episode did have some old-school Rory Being Dumb going on. Aw, Team TARDIS, I love them.

'Boisterously nonsensical' is a lovely way of putting it. It's episodes like this one that remind me Doctor Who is also a children's show.

Yeah, exactly! I said that to my Who-watching buddy: this one was for the ten-year-olds, and that's not a terrible thing.

and we're totally not supposed to care that this whole thing has unleashed a new crew of PIRATES into SPACE? Which, yes, space pirates, but still, they've made it clear that they are into the pillaging and such. And now they have laser guns.

I guess the Lovable Moppet will bring joy to their hearts and they won't want to pillage anymore? Or maybe since the floaty space nurse can attend to their needs, they won't need to pillage and are now mere explorers on the tides of the universe? I don't know, man. Space pirates.
