Confession to make.
I ... I think I'm over Rose.
I don't think I like 'knowing' (red-herring risk aside) how and when Jack is going to die (as a giant floating head. Jack needs his other parts!) but I've been vid sourcing from Gridlock and yes, Bo has Jack-like qualities. He can give away his life energy! Also, it was very kind of RTD et al. to say that Captain Jack does physically age. Not that I don't believe Barrowman won't pass for 28 for the next two decades, but it seems like it would be a strain on the poor guy otherwise.
I said this somewhere in someone's comments: I like this dynamic that's developing with the Companions, where they walk with the Doctor a little while and go from being sort of doofusy and dependant to being able to stand on their own two feet, and eventually walk away. I like that they become better. I still find Martha's Doctor-worship annoying (though a little less so in context) but it makes sense for where it took her as a character. I respect her a lot for taking what she learned and finding what she needed to do to be loyal to who she'd become.
Also, Post-apocalyptic Martha? Pretty awesome.
All my guesses for 3x13 were wrong, so I think it's perfectly safe to say: I think the Master possessed Lucy (poor Lucy!) and she's about to become a WASP supervillian. They can make hatesex timebabies!
Also, right now I love Ten kind of a lot. Which is actually kind of new! I didn't dislike him, but. Yeah. &hearts .

I am a bit meh on the whole Jack as the Face of Bo. It felt forced. (Jack in restraints on the other hand, that was pretty excellent and I would for there to be lots more of it.)
And I do like Martha a whole lot more now: I liked her post-apocalyptic kickassery, and the fact that she left the Doctor because she needed to, yeah, that was cool.
And the Master dying in Ten's arms? That was meant to be slashy as fuck, right? There is just no other way to read that.

The last three episodes have really moved me from the closet-Martha-haters club to the Martha-love camp.
I am reading it as "Russell T. Davies does not think our gender roles are eternal and unchanging across time and space." Which: yay! However I do choose to interpret it through my cultural lense as, you know. Hot hero/villian manlove.

Also, please for to be finding the hot hero/villian manlove. Or the Ten/Sam Tyler manlove, that would be ok also.

Storytime: I devoured all the Nine fic I could lay my hands on, back when it was airing. But there was a 6 month gap between POTW and Christmas Invasion. People were writing Ten based on 2 minutes of screen time and a couple of promo photos, and as my attention waned, I found SGA. (I was also not really emotionally ready for Ten fic.)
I was lurking back then, and much of my flist now is SGA-oriented.
Sometimes when I'm brave I wander over to T&C, or stumble around Teaspoon...but that's hit or miss. (And by "miss", I mean songfic. *shudder*)
A handful of excellent recent drabbles can be found here: http://boji.livejournal.com/
Also? My delicious subscription list is sometimes helpful: http://del.icio.us/subscriptions/lurkmuch
(For values of helpful which include scattered and random. I also add anybody with similar fannish interests that I find to my delicious network. Cast a wide net and all.)

And yeah, Teaspoon is a total crapshoot. I need to find other people who are in the fandom -- all the stuff I recced awhile ago was stuff I'd read like two years ago. I've really only dabbled in Who since then. I tend to have one fandom that is eating my brain, and then a handful of others with whom I have periodic tawdry weekend affairs. (West Wing, SG-1, Farscape, Jossverse, this one time with JAG that I seriously don't want to talk about AT ALL, because Jesus god, my uniform kink and overly patriotic tv is a trainwreck waiting to happen. For real.)
And have you noticed that it's harder to find fics on delicious when the fandom abbreviation is less universally agreed upon? SGA? Very easy. But Who is sometimes Drwho, sometimes DoctorWho, sometimes Dw.
I am going to shut up before I treat you to a ramble on folksonomies, because my brain has gone to Weirdville.

(Why yes, I am going back and reading all the spoiler posts now that I've seen it.)
