hey, that was my reaction, too. i just kept wandering around my apartment touching things for a good half hour after i finished. and then i put sorcerer's stone on in the background earlier today and kept getting weepy at really dumb, random moments.
it helped having a 15 hour gap between finishing the book and starting the movie; surprisingly, the movie is easier to watch than starting to read the books from the beginning again (which is my reading goal before the fall semester starts).
but yeah. this re-read's probably going to kill me.
I didn't know what to do with myself after I finished, I'm amazed I haven't done the sobbing yet, I feel like I'm in shock! It's over... gah.
I looked at my costume and wondered whether I would wear it to the movies, it feels almost wrong to do it, but at the same time any excuse to drag out giving up my potter obsession is a good excuse. It's so creepy to think of never wearing it again after the movies come out!
I didn't finish my re-read before the book came out, so I'm going to continue that and then re-read this last one when I get to it. (I'm mid-5th right now)
I have read more HP fic in the last three days than in the entire time previous, I think. Perhaps if I am not brain dead this evening after class, there will be more recs.
You won't read this for a few more hours, and so it is probably pointless, but I just listened to Green Eyes by Coldplay and started crying over Snape/Lily. Dear God, these movies cannot come quick enough. I want fanvids.
Hahahaha yes. There will be enough footage for this, for sure. I'll have to watch OotP again to keep my eyes out for this, but the end result will be amazing.
This is an aptly timed comment, because it made me laugh and I was sitting in my room, crying over another song that fits perfectly the Shit Hitting The Fan marauder era Remus/Sirius. Dear God I am lame. I swear I was not doing this all day long.
I will be pondering the right song for the harry/buffy. I assume it will need to be angsty?
See, I'm thinking more surrealistic than angsty. Lots of glass shattering as a metaphor for their carefully constructed ideas of the world breaking to pieces! I mean, if I hadn't already done Radiohead - but I'd need something with a useable beat.
