1) Bandido Man in San Cristobal has a Honduran accent! I need some catrachas on my flist to tell me if it's fake or real, but either way I rewound his bits and listened to them like eight times. Aww.

2) I started watching on "Lizards" when the twins who speak Spanish were in Guatemala, and I was like, they named a Guatemalan character Maya? And why does she look so Colombian?

Then I watched Four Months Later and it made much, much more sense.

3) My guess is the San Cristobal in the episode is the one El Pariaso or Olancho - Olancho b/c I'm going to stereotype Bandido Man as Olanchano, and El Pariaso b/c the vegetation looked nothing like Lempira or Intibuca. Though, come to think of it, what parts of Copan still have trees do have a fair bit of ceiba, which would maybe account for the undergrowth. And that would put them right on the Honduras/Guatemala border. And that does put them more on the Pacific side, which is at least a straighter shot up to Coatepeque. Luckily, from here on they lose me, because I know diddly-squat about Mexico. Besides that you really, really can't walk across it, was Maya really trying to walk across it?

This is why I have a livejournal, because otherwise I end up trying to explain this to rl people until they start going: seriously, Sapote, we do not care this much. Which, doesn't everyone obsess about Central American geography? ::sigh::

Also, the Irish ppl's accents are hectically fake, and the supposedly Irish scenes just look fake. I can't say why.

people keep telling me the Irish accents are so fake they hurt Irish-accent-speakers in their very souls. I can at least tell that the accents come and go. (This is why I love BBC, because I get to hear people do the same thing to US accents)
