I went to high school in a scenester town, which has corroded my ability to straight-facedly enjoy pop music forever, so I don't think I could call myself into them so much as into their fandom? I guess?
Pete Wentz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pete_Wentz) is from Illinois originally, but Google says he has a house in L.A. now. Apparently he does stay with his parents in Illinois sometimes, or at least ::cough:: he did in 2006.
But The Wentz was kind of a popular haircut for teenage boys for a while, I hear, and pair that with eyeliner and a hoodie and you're halfway to having a lookalike. Did the guy you saw have huge teeth / fangirl hoardes?
