The tv in the internet lounge is playing SG-1. Clearly the television gods don't want me to get any homework done. I have no clue what is going on, but I will concede there are a lot of pretty people. Fighting aliens? Maybe?
I actually have to do schoolwork the next couple of weeks, even though a part of me wants to vid more right now. It's probably for the best that I put it off, because I'm actually not very musical and will quickly run out of songs I like well enough to listen to them the requisite five hundred times. (Have I mentioned how I accidentally ended up with a half-empty schedule this semester? I spend more time exercising than I do in class. And more time reading fanfiction than those two added together, to the fifth power.)
Ideas so far:
1) Song: Superstar. Canon: Velvet Goldmine. This would be really, really easy, and quite pretty to work on. It would be literal enough that I probably am not going to bother, though, especially since I'd just be borrowing a song that![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
heresluck has already done very, very well.
2) Song: The Test (Chemical Brothers). Canon: Torchwood again.
Advantages: I like the song. I'm getting comfortable enough that it would be fun to do something with some rhythm to it. (ETA: Oo! I could do it about Tosh! Tosh does not get enough love. Or, you know. Vidded angst.)
Disadvantages: It would be hard not to over-reference the original video . Also, all the drug references = what, am I twelve?
So these aren't my favoritest. It seems best to jot them down, though. I might change my mind?
Dear internet: I need new, viddable music! After finals, I guess?
Also. ::flails vaguely at word processor.:: Dear story: resolve yourself! I really want to get the thing posted before finals start up. It's out for betaing right now, but I keep having to talk myself out of rewriting the whole thing, again. Yes, again. My beta, she is a saint.
