Things I learned at the farm today:
1) It's a good idea to save rowcover rocks from year to year, because otherwise apeon student like me will spend the whole afternoon in the bulldozer ditch putting rocks in a bucket. Which is actually sort of fun, but hard on the back. It turns out a rock of just the right heft and shape to weigh down a rowcover is a rare and special thing to find. Who knew?
Have I mentioned it's supposed to snow tonight? Poor baby brocolli plants.
2) If you throw a rock and hit the rowcover by accident, you will tear the reemay, and then the lab instructor will be very sad.
After the rock throwing we went up on the hill (and noted some outbreaks of rose rosetta disease, which is yay). And we yelled "HAPPY EASTER, FARM!". And it was good.
