Not much to say about DS 4x04,

1) Holy shit, is that Lilah from AtS? Hi, Lilah!
2) My lord this was a good episode for new facial expressions. When not-Lilah was rubbing Fraser's back? I had to pause and chortle. Because that is a Fraser-face that has previously only existed in fanfiction for me.
3) I haven't seen Victoria's Secret yet, so this whole thing with Fraser going maverick over a woman is for me brand shiny new character development. He really snaps, doesn't he?
4) The Fraser/Ray poker game at the end was pretty aww, especially since Fraser was still in his little bowtie, and they had nothing to bet with, and you know it's been written from there by someone. And! Ray was clearly staying up with him to offer manly comfort after Not-Lilah's perfidious betrayel, so you've got the angst and the (emotional) h/c built right in! Internet, if you have not taken advantage of this I will be disappointed.

Also, I've been watching the SGA season 2 that I missed on Youtube . I've probably said this before, but I don't think I'd watch SGA at all if the fandom wasn't so awesome. I don't agree with anyone's ethical choices ever, and the acting is kinda choppy, and I have no patience with three in four plot arcs. But! The internet has added a thick crunchy layer of speculation and innuendo, as well as much-improved world-creation, to the plain bread of canon. And so I can stop caring (mostly) about how much this show is not Babylon 5 and instead focus on the important part, which is how much John and Rodney are seckretly getting it on offscreen. In this context, I'm even warming to Ronan. It's taking a while. The hair helps.

*giggle* They were playing for air. Air! After the buddy breathing. God, if I had my own links ... gah... there was this really fantastic tag to this ep where Fraser demands payment on the air debt and it was just so freaking good and intimate. *frustrated*

But! Dude! Season 2 of SGA has two of the most awesomest episodes ever: Duet and Inferno. It is worth Trinity to have those. The thing with the ethics is you have to just be at peace with the fact that they wish they had them, but mostly they don't. Just like the real millitary.

when you get your links back, if you remember, dear jesus there are not words for how much I want to read that story.

I actually like Trinity pretty okay, and in general, this will be the last time I whine about SGA plot arcs, I swear. I will get over it! Because they are attractive people saying humourous things to each other in space, and that's really most of what I need from a tv show, especially with fandom there to fill in the other bits. So as you say: at peace with that. really. mostly.
