Why do so many masters programs in public health want you to have a masters in a public-health related field? If I had one, I wouldn't need another!

Ditto to every program that requires me to have two years of work in a related field. If I could find work in a related field without a master's I wouldn't need one, would I?

In other news, I am on vacation. And studying for my GREs. Luckily there is not a person over 12 in my family who travels without a laptop.

Hello. Me again about the podficcing. A couple of things :

How do you like your screen-name pronounced? For the intro at the beginning.

How did you envision Ronnie being pronounced? Because at the moment the way I say it sounds a lot like the way I say Rodney. This isn't necessarily a problem, as they don't actually appear in the same parts of the story, but it made me wonder if I was doing it right.

Erm... and do you want me to send a draft of a beginning chunk so you can make suggestions? Or shall I just try to wade through and see where it goes?

P.S. I am totally over-enthusiastic right now because I just worked out how to get rid of the horrible buzz on the recording, which is supposedly due to the crappy wiring in my (rather old) house. So I got to actually record stuff today that doesn't need to be deleted! Yay!

The Ronnie/Rodney thing is one reason I gave up doing this myself. Um. Sorry? But you could always say it Roan-ie or even rename him some other country version of Ronan if it helps! You could just put it in the notes?

My username is pronounced sah-POH-tay (three) - it's a word that's almost exactly like the Spain-Spanish "cipote", but I couldn't find a phonetic spelling for that either. So: I am not worried, give it a try? And: at least I didn't choose tzapotl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sapote).

You are completely free to send me a draft but I think hearing your interpretation would be much cooler than trying to make it sound more like my interpretation of the story. But I'd be happy to do a listen-through!

Hahaha! I'm am grateful for the lack of tzapotl to be pronounced.

I might try recording some of it with Roan-ie and see how it sounds. In the end though, everyone knows the characters, that's the joy of fanfic. I don't think anyone will be too confused if they sound similar.

We'll see how it goes. I might send you a bit just to get someone else to listen to it. I haven't done one before, and none of my friends are really into this kind of stuff.

Anyway. I will keep working on it and let you know.
