1) Around 2 p.m, all the sudden, I was well again. I got up and did yoga. And then I spontaneously did pushups. And my first thought was, "I've been replaced by a Cylon. This is awesome!"

2) One of my main goals when I got this lj was to keep my head down and avoid wank (because I am Polite and Southern) but this week I've been feeling very: please, SGA fandom, do not implode yet. I just got here!

3) Who wants to see some pictures of somewhatmiddleaged!Callum Keith Rennie laughing? I do! I do!. Link is to scriggle's livejournal, which I hope s/he does not mind.

He has dimples.

4) The AU I was not going to write is a concussion grenade and a FOX news scrollbar away from completion. I spent about three hours yesterday under a tree scribbling away at it, which was very pleasant, because most of the rest of my life happens at my desk right now. Finals, please get here so you can be over and I can turn off my computer and leave my house. Or at least pretend I'm going to. I guess I've only got one more semester to enjoy wacky finals behavior, so I might as well embrace it.

I enjoy how "writing enormous piles of fic" is something that stays on my to-do list during finals, but "go to grocery store ever again" and "delicious life-giving sleep" are things I just don't have the time for.

5) I spent a little too much time with my linktracker today, and do you know that about one in two hundred story-readers leaves a comment? For some reason I always thought I was one of those Few Special Lurkers. No, it turns out we are legion!

Me too! Me too! I'm coming up on ten years sometime next fall! And until four or five months ago, I'd sent feedback twice.

See, I have an OTP, in that way where theirloveissobeautifulandpure, but I like it when other people have OTPs that are different then mine, because it is like a fannish obsession smorgasbord! It makes for excellent internet! Where by internet I also mean porn supply.

So I think "no reasonable offer refused" is a ship name we can totally get behind. On board with?

"No Reasonable Offer/Refused" is my new ship. It is pan-fandom! It promotes interfandom harmony! It is helping save puppies and Christmas (and may possibly get you a better rate on your mortgage and it might wax the car while you're out, maybe top off the tank).

It's the same old story: Ridiculously Attractive Person meets Another Ridiculously Attractive Person(s), They Do Hot Things (Together or in Groups), in a Hot Manner. The End. (This being SGA, I have left out the bodyswap, genderfuck, transmogification, ninjas, dragons, harem slaves and other things of a "plot" nature.)

I have an OTP, and it is John/Rodney...until you put something else attractive in front of me. Ensemble shows are dangerous like that, and crossovers are the kiss of death. (Someday, I will write the story in my head, of Captain Jack Harkness visiting fandoms I have loved and shagging the hell out of my One True Characters.)

Seriously, there will be cookies and unicorns and holding hands skipping through the fields of daisies. Or at least a flowchart. A "No Reasonable Offer Refused" flowchart. We can fit the harem slaves in there somewhere!

Dude, I did not know I was such a Rodney fan until I started thinking about my pairings. Because yes, the McShep is bickery and adorable, but also: McKay/Zelenka! McKay/Teyla! Even McKay/Ronon can be quite appealing if well-written! And then there's McKay/everybody, which is the win.

(Close) second best is Zelenka/whoever. Me + science = happy.

You know about vintagemilitary, right? The "Captain Jack has sex with everyone everywhere in every possible universe" challenge? It is not as huge as it should be yet, but the potential! Oh the potential.

Harem slaves are totally reasonable, so of course they can be in there.

And I too, am a HUGE Rodney fan. (Because he bludgeons people with his brain. ) That lead me naturally to McKay/Sheppard, which made me notice that John is hot. Really extremely very hot. So, either of them, with anyone else, pretty much. (OT4 for the win! )

I had checked out vintagemilitary before and it was kinda quiet... but thank you for reminding me, because there's a story involving Captain Jack and Brian Kinney (of Queer as Folk). God bless fandom!

I fell in love with Jack during the Ninth Doctor season of Doctor Who as it was airing in the UK. There were like 7 stories. (This is yet another factor in my immediate embracing of SGA.)
