sapote: The TARDIS sits near a tree in sunlight (meta)

Guys! Guys! [livejournal.com profile] toft_froggy had the most amazing idea. She posted about her embarrassing teenage Mary Sue fic, and apparently we all have them! I sure do!

So now there's pressure on to have a Mary Sue Outing where we all post our embarrassing juvenalia together! And while I do not have the friendslist size to organize such an event, I can tell the internet that if this happens I will totally bring in one of my old notebooks tomorrow and scan a page of my LoTR Mary Sue in Tengwar. I can't even read Tengwar anymore, so chances are good I will accidentally post poorly-written teenage elf smut. I am also totally willing to post excerpts from the postapocalyptic, three-generation Highlander Mary Sue!

Let us all cringe together, flist! I totally want to see other people's epic tales of purple-eyed swashbuckling waifs who just want to teach Wesley Crusher how to love. I will post again if some sort of central location or posting plan is announced!

My favorite part of our debate-watching potluck last night was when McCain was carrying on about that three million dollar planetarium projector Obama approved funding for, and the people next to me kept going "What an unbelievably awesome thing to spend money on."

Me, I think the bear DNA thing sounded pretty cool too. Why do they always seem to call out the cool science funding first?
