Because first there's the bit with the *ahem* dancing, and the camera tastefully fades out, and then in ep. 11 they are all GIGGLY and finishing each other's sentences and clearly post-coital, is all I'm saying.

I don't just want Dr Who s1 fic, I want REALLY BAD Dr Who s1 fic. No seriously: Big! Maudlin! Overemotional! I want massive stories in purple prose with anatomically improbable sex scenes. ALSO, I want a lot of Rose Sue. And sappy, sappy angst. And True Love.
::googles::
::is well content::
Luckily the less High Art a piece of fic is, the easier it is to find. Has anyone else noticed this?

I am not even sure I can finish this season. I kind of want time to stop right here, with the Doctor and Rose and Jack flying around in the TARDIS and being happy.

Also, why is it 55 degrees (12 to the rest of you, says Google) in my house? Why is it ten degrees above freezing outside? I am very sure that the trees and small mammals do not approve. ::shakes fist:: It's May. Yes, this winter was weak, but now is not the time to make up for it!

Question of actual relevance to fic I may or may not be writing: Does the Doctor choose to look like a human, or does he actually look like a human?

Oh, completely. *g* Best OT3 EVER! I'm really curious how Jack's chemistry is going to compare to Martha & Ten. Because Rose, Nine, & Jack? Were awesome.

::sigh:: Nine/Rose is my first big OTP since Fraser and Kowalski, and N/R/J is my first big OT3 in probably years. I will just hope that the next set are as awesome.

I tend to think that he actually looks human, because well, a) he could change his appearance to blend better in places and he doesn't and b) the two hearts thing. You know what I mean? I guess this doesn't preclude him having some improbable tentacle thing, if that's where you were going (um, you weren't, right?)

I've been watching all of these terrible Rose/Doctor vids and going, yes! she is the best thing about him! Universal truth, right there! and feeling all sappy.

As for the weather, it is terrible here too. I mean, I expect the minus forty in the winter (which apparently works both ways), but in the summer it's usually plus thirty or higher somtimes (86). I'm all snuggled in a blanket here and feeling very put out.

If you stop now you miss the famed kiss and the 'you are worth fighting for' and OOOH, you'd miss the hilarious part where he pulls a fun out of NOWHERE and it feels very Highlander (or at least to me, you know the broadsword gets pulled from somewhere but you don't know where since they were wearing spandex?). And S2, though I was very hostile, does in fact have some awesome eps. There's one that I call the best sci fi (actual sci fi!)on tv in the last ten years (since that's all that I can claim to have reasonably watched and remembered). And hilarious body switching. It's good times.

::no really::

I had to go have a little lie-down and then explain the ENTIRE PLOT to rm #2 in order to recover. I needed post-Parting of the Ways counseling.

I so can't do relationships on Dr Who. I grew up with that show, through all the other doctors ... I just can't add sex into that equation.

And I have a vague memory that Romana may have briefly flirted with a non-humanoid body in the 'regeneration' scene where they switched from Mary Tamm to Lalla Ward... I say 'regeneration' because she *chose* to change her body, and switched through a few different options before settling on the end product (and didn't *have* to change due to imminent death).

I get that - I have friends who slash cartoons I watched as a kid, and I feel much the same about that. And Dr. Who is such an innocent show. But I watch it through jaded, post-slash eyes *g*.

man, so much dr who canon. It's awesome.
