So I finally saw Half-Blood Prince

I - I really liked that movie. And possibly I watch fandom movies differently than other people ("that will be good fanvid footage. OH MY GOD AND THEN THEY DID IT") but holy crap, it was one big movie of AND THEN THEY DID IT and if that makes me wrong I don't want to be right.

Also I may or may not be disturbed by

1) The Snape/Draco suddenly seeming plausible
2) The Harry/Hermione possibly drunken comfort-based hookup followed by NEVER SPEAKING OF THIS AGAIN, you know where, that's TOTALLY WHAT HAPPENED AND I DO NOT EVEN SHIP THEM YES GO AHEAD SHUN ME.
3) The frankly delightful fact that the movie was straight-up all TEENAGERS SEXUALLY EXPERIMENTING IS NORMAL YOU NO LONGER HAVE TO FEEL CREEPED OUT BY THE FANDOM ALRIGHT EVERYBODY. Because, honestly? I ... was freaked out by the fandom a little and knew it would take seeing the characters played by styling twenty-somethings who are by no means actually sixteen years old for me to get over it. So now I'm over it! SO, seriously, most prolific fandom ever, BRING IT, I will be trawling for recs all week long.

Also I have been out of fandom so long that I am a little disturbed at finding Ginny Weasley hot, which, seriously, I did not know that I was so out of practice with my fangirling. Nonetheless, who wants desperate wartime hetfic that dances around how Our Heroes don't realize that the burning intensity of their present adolescent fight of good versus evil will end with them trapped in the suburbs as middle-aged coconspirators in the perpetuation of the same staid, unfair Wizarding class system that they are fighting against? ME! ME! OOH PICK ME!

SO BASICALLY I LOVED IT, and I hope that this thing spawns a thousand rec lists now that I am fully fangirled-up. ALSO, Orangecrush, I keep forgetting to get my files off your harddrive and there are totally Harry Potter ficlets in there somewhere. Somewhere near the Xander/Dawn futurefic, you know, in the File of Self-Conscious Fannish Shame.
