Okay, it is ENTIRELY REASONABLE that someone would try to jump Eleventy's bones, but it being Amy makes me UNCOMFORTABLE because it's weirdly like Katie Holmes sleeping under a giant poster of Tom Cruise as a girl and then marrying him. There. That's the reason I can't ship it. BECAUSE OF KATIE HOLMES. I was so close what with the trust issues and the talking and the forehead-kissing and the Eleven coming a little unhinged with worry, but then Amy was like SEX WITH YOU NOW, CHILDHOOD HERO and I got a little alarmed. Like, how does she resolve this in her head? What are her feelings about trying to sex up this person who abandoned her as a child? What is the logic? It's going to produce some odd fanfic, which is always okay, but it is also Quite Strange.
I am not sure if I like New Ragey Eleven, but I do think it shows that he considers himself more subjective to the timeline and is Taking an Interest. He actually gets scared and upset and mad at everybody for expecting the sun and moon, and while it makes him a dick a lot of the time (seriously, I'm especially surprised that Amy wanted to do him after he, like, shouted at her to shut up when she was dying of angelic possession) it is also kind of reasonable given the scale of the average problem he's asked to solve.
I am also not sure if I like the plotline turning into Needing To Get Amy Married, as I would run too if the Universe had actually destined me a mate. Hopefully that is not necessarily what it is.
So the Angels, and River, and everything: I liked River but I do not quite ship her with Eleven as hard as I shipped her with Ten. It's one of the few places where it is dead obvious that Matt Smith is a wee baby actor. Luckily I have slightly-AU River/Amy slashing to do in my brain, which admit it, could totally happen.
(Because apparently Amy is good to go. And River is probably also frustrated what with having to wait until the Doctor is grown up, which may well have been a long time ago already. So they should have sex, is the point.)
I Quite Liked the spaceship forest. It made me happy. I felt really bad for poor Amy who got left in the woods completely blind by herself, even if the angels were strange at that point. I am not sure if it broke canon entirely to see the angels moving - I thought the point of the angels was to break the fourth wall, in that they never move when we're watching either? Hm.
Also, I swear I'm not trying to look up Amy's skirt, but I think she might be wearing a skort, which makes more sense for all the running around and falling over she does. Also, I think the facebook-style drunkface photo on her bedside table is hilarious. I wonder if that was before or after she made the wire from the top of the wine bottle into a wee pixie chair.
