Eating the quince (well, karin, apparently) that I found on the ground in the botanical garden: likely to kill me? Thoughts?

(They smell so good!)

ETA: It's hard to google "Quince Karin" because I just get lots and lots of pictures of girls named Karin who are turning 15.

Googling "karin fruit" seems to work ok, though. Wikipedia seems to suggest that you can make jam with it, so hopefully it's not actually poisonous?

I don't think it is! I read an article on it once? In middle school?

I have chopped it up and am macerating it with sugar, since it seems to be hella bitter.
