June 20, 2005: Gay marriage is legalized across Canada.

Congrats to the happy family!
If you live in the U.S, here's some stuff on marriage equality. Because yay for Canadians, real and fictional, and hopefully soon yay for us, too.

this is totally the best post I've read on LJ all day.
Btw, I haven't gotten around to emailing you back or commenting-reply to your comments re: my due South vid. I'm still re-working the beginning of the vid and some flowy-kinks that annoy me with regards to some of the middle sections with the sledding and Canada clips, but I reallly loved your feedback and found it quite helpful (if not amusing, with you saying "omg nevermind!" afterwards.) and yes, you are fantastic and thank you so much for the feedback.
I probably won't end up posting it until sometime in July. Plus I've got my Hard Core Logo/crossover vid I've been working on and will probably post before my dS vid anyway.
anywho. yay gay marriage and yay Fraser and Ray! Have you read Denise Raymond's All The Comforts Of Home (http://www.dueslash.com/archive/1311.html) before? it's a post-CotW engagement!fic and it's totally the most wonderful thing in the history of due South fics, I think.

Thanks for the link! That is totally the kind of story I am wanting today anyway, and even awesomer given that I really truly believe that in the Due South universe, on this exact date two years ago, in a registry office in Nunuvik, Benton Fraser was doing right by his man. *g*

All I can say is that seeing this when I got up this morning was a really nice surprise. Love the happy family *g*.

And yes, smug AND IN MY MIND JUST-MARRIED Ray & Fraser make me much more cheerful. As well.
