I liked it quite a bit! Rory had a thing to do that wasn't getting killed, and it involved his unique power of Heart (the robot needs cuddles! I will cuddle it!). Also, Amy has been having all kinds of slightly-sexually-charged to flat-out-making-out interactions with gentlemen (depending on whether you have your femslash goggles turned all the way up to REMEMBER THAT ONE AIDE IN WINSTON CHURCHILL'S OFFICE OH YEAH will define whether it was just gentlemen) for two seasons, so for some reason it was nice to see Rory have a series of interactions that followed kind a romantic pattern. (How much did I love his "it's okay that I'm cuddling this random lady, right?" couple eye-language at Amy? And she was all like "Aw, Rory, I accept that hugging is your greater moral purpose in life, carry on" back at him. A LOT. A LOT was how much I liked it. Coming soon to some fanfiction near you.)

Though I would like to see a (purely speculation) ending more creative than Goo Jennifer sacrificing herself to motivate everyone because Rory hugged her and that means no murdering humans. That would be good! Fingers crossed.

This was kind of a Rory episode to my mind and Amy didn't do much but I'm fine with that as it is an ensemble cast and these things will happen as people take turns having plot points.

Also, I do enjoy the literalness of "your robot children will have the flaws you program into them", with each of the doppelgangers mirroring character traits/flaws in really obvious ways. Maybe instead of Rory saving the world through Heart the two dudes who have the son will lay down their arms and hug it out, robot-clone style? I would be for that.

I suspect the ending will be cheesy, whatever happens, but I'm willing to embrace it.

I loved that too! They seemed to have a lot of married person interactions this episode. I love it when the show shows that they've known each other since they were kids. Not that that's much more than ten years, but still!

Yes! Exactly that! It was totally a Rory episode and ABOUT TIME TOO.

I need a Rory icon, hmmm.

I just wanted to say 'yay, I'm not the only person who liked the ep!'

The understated couple-ness of Amy and Rory is always love. I especially liked their little whisper argument in the background that one scene (both kneeling-- over someone maybe?).
