1) ISAAC JOINED SCOTT BECAUSE SCOTT TAKES BETTER CARE OF HIS PEOPLE THAN DEREK EVEN THOUGH SCOTT HAS NO PLAN AND IS CONFUSED ALL THE TIME. YES I HAVE BEEN ROOTING FOR THIS BASICALLY SINCE I CAUGHT UP. And between the two of them they kind of came up with a plan! Through reasonable discussion and strategizing! Look what happens when you use your words!

Apparently the vet and Scott have been discussing Scott's werewolf magic for a while. Was this while he was talking with Gerard too? Will we ever get a flashback that explains what the crap Scott's been up to?

2) Look at Stiles going to THERAPY like a REASONABLE PERSON. I imagine he didn't get to choose to go but he tried to actually share his feelings and stuff. I was glad that they gave him a serious scene in which you could actually see that this sixteen-year-old kid was going to be a grown-ass man someday. And was going to be good at it. There's something really serious and worthwhile lurking in Stiles that isn't just being the loyal sidekick. I've always thought it but it was something between awesome and weird seeing it actually show up all the way for an entire scene.

Especially since the rest of the episode basically involved him pulling faces and falling off of things, which I really enjoy normally but holy CRAP, Stiles, there's a real you in there.

The constant panning over his mouth and downy baby cheeks was weird but I guess this show always knows where its bread is buttered.

3) Sooo we were all "how is Peter going to get Derek back on his side?" yesterday. And yet by the end of this episode I was all wow, Derek, you had better listen to Peter, apparently he knows what's up.

4) This is me being hard on Derek because I take his characterization as such srs bsns: I'm glad everyone left him. He's been fucking up royally with them. He has to earn the kind of trust he wants people to give him, they're not just going to give it to him while he yells at them and is all withdrawn and untrusting. Seriously, if this never gets called out into the open, it's never going to happen, he's never going to be able to work on it or improve. ... I am kind of bummed that thinking that no one should trust Derek right now or give him infinite hugs comes off as so hatey, honestly, because I find him incredibly sympathetic and am taking his character arc very, very seriously, I just have this very fixed idea of what he needs to repair his situation and I feel like infinite hugs would honestly just enable his whole mess. VERY SERIOUS WEREWOLF BUSINESS.

5) Poor E. got the brunt of my physical-comedy-of-Teen-Wolf-interactions, including the bit where I curled into fetal position and tried to hide from the tv because I thought Isaac was going to die. NO ISAAC I LOVE YOU SO MUCH DO NOT DIE.

6) ... Jackson. Sacrificed himself. To stop Gerard. JACKSON.

7) Melissa McCall/Sheriff Stilinski what up.

8) Allison has boarded the crazytrain to murdertown. Also she is going to get her hair HELLA caught in the bowstring if she doesn't pin it back somehow.



Please note that I tend to paint an unflattering picture of Derek (partially because I tend to take his character, um, really really seriously) and would like everyone to preserve their fannish happiness in the best way possible by clicking or not clicking on the cut.
