In case anyone else had trouble finding this information: Torchwood Season 2 will be shown on BBCA starting January 26, 2008!

I am very excited.

Yay, more Torchwood!! Now I can recommend it to people without getting that look of polite incomprehension.

Now it'll be a look of knowing incomprehension! j/k?

...the look is usually in response to instructions on how to *acquire* these obscure shows. Followed by, "Why don't you just watch normal TV?".

Best of all, that conversation usually happens with Certain Friends who refuse to own a TV (and are sort of snotty and superior about it) yet invite themselves over for TV watching because they enjoy certain programs. Because, you know, they're experts on the subject of "normal TV".

*headdesk*

Hey, I own no normal tv and am totally scouting out people who get BBCA in my town now. But usually the internet does me just fine. (I say, five weeks behind on SGA again).

For the record, I was raised by no-tv people who were quite snobbish about it, and now look at me. Hee.

ZOMG. SGA. ZOMG. Please to be announcing when you are caught up.

And part of the problem is that even our "normal TV' is complicated as we have DVR and never watch things as they air. We also tend to connect a computer to the big TV directly, for the watching of stuff as a group. We joke that we need a Power Point presentation for houseguests to understand how to watch TV here...and it's kinda true.

And yeah, I actually get the no tv thing. I'm pretty close to being able to do without broadcast TV, especially if I've got high-speed internet and Netflix. I'd really rather watch only the stuff I'm into, and not watch something just because it's on.
