KILLS ME:
00:02: Tosh has a new haircut! I have recently decided that Tosh is the hotness, so this makes me pleased.
00:08: Have you seen a blowfish driving a sportscar? This hints at Buffy-style wackiness and makes me GLEE. Also, an alien! Besides the Weevils! ::is thrilled::
00:12: Rageful Ianto!
00:15: Why is Ex-Spike dressed like a drum major? Is this going to be hilarious? Oh, I so hope it's hilarious.
Between Rage!Ianto and the "I'm a monster" at 00:47, could we finally have the evil!Ianto who is secretly plotting to murder Jack to avenge Lisa but Fell In Love unexpectedly?
Just asking.
Because

0:54: Either Martha is evil now, or she's been sent by UNIT to audit them, or I really, really love this smile: HI GUYS. HERE I AM. THIS IS KIND OF AWKWARD! (p.s. my hair is FABULOUS now). I'm so glad they're apparently letting her wear it the way Freyma does, which is v. flattering.
I am very pleased to see that there will still be plenty of Gwen, because: I have had a giant girlcrush on Gwen since episode one (freckles. gap. nrgh.) and was kind of worried that "problems with season one are being resolved" meant "Eve Myles gets less screentime". This appears to not be the case!
In conclusion, I am completely prepared to love this season with my whole
I was watching the Season 1 marathon yesterday, and: in both episode 1x02 (at dinner) and Cyberwoman (at the pub) Jack seems to be telling stories about women who have set up housekeeping with aliens. First, I like how it reinforces that there are Strange Things All Around Us, because, ::glee::, and secondly, does needing to tell these stories say Something About Jack, besides his ongoing fascination with the patterns of human intimacy? The Doctor was always all "Don't you make this place domestic!", but I think Jack is kind of attracted to domestic. I mean, he stayed in love with the same person (two people? My OT3 goggles say yes) for a hundred and fifty years of separation. Yes, that might just be The Doctor Being Special (though I want to hear no words about how Rose has been all pining, because Jack spent a hundred and fifty years pining, and that makes him the woobiest of them all) but I think that says more about Jack. The Torchwood Team never really solidified in Season One, and everyone was always betraying everyone else, and Jack could be pretty. damn. dark. about it. But I think one of the things that happened was that he had this huge blind spot, where he wanted to believe that they were Family, where the rest of them were kind of just doing a job.
Also: something that strikes me especially in 1x13: Jack is kind of a dork. And sometimes I wonder if being big and handsome gets in Jack Harkness's way, because I think underneath he's kind of vulnerable and nerdy and petty, and - I don't mean it as a slur, but kind of a girl. I try to imagine if Jack looked like Owen, how differently people would take him, and if he maybe would be more comfortable in the world. Though it wouldn't be as easy, for sure.

Re: With the pants!
WE SHOULD MAKE ONE.
OMG, five days left till Torchwood, five members of the Torchwood team. I am totally going to work on this now. What order should I go in? (Jan. 07 should be Captain Jack, since he's returning to Team Wood that very night.)
And IANTO, I was less a Ianto fangirl than many in Season 1, but I have missed the angsty little guy, and jesus. God those screencaps were hot.
Poor, poor Rhys. ::shakes head::
EEE TORCHWOOD! IS BACK!
