Torchwood advent, second attempt! (I can use a calender, I swear!)

Okay, let's try this again:

Torchwood is airing (says the internet) on December 16th, 2008. I think it would be fun to post Torchwood-related things, big or small, in the days before the air date, so as to whip ourselves into a frenzy of anticipation. And I made a torchwoodadvent comm to post these things in! I invite Torchwood People on my flist to come on over and join - and bring your friends!

For some structure, I'm doing a character per day, every day:

January 11th: Gwen Cooper!
January 12th: Owen Harper!
January 13: Toshiko Sato!
January 14th: Ianto Jones!
January 15th: Captain Jack Harkness!
January 16th: Aliens! Bonus secondary characters! Teamfic! A general anticipatory free-for-all!

Come play! No thing is too big (behind an lj-cut) or too small. torchwoodadvent - because the space crack is back!

Usually it takes me forever to stop writing the old year, but for some reason I was accidentally writing 2008 back in 2007. Apparently my subconscious *really* wanted it to be 2008!

I'm at work, so I haven't checked, but have you pimped the comm in any of the other TW comms? I noticed there weren't many people signed up, which is just wrong. *g* I'll definitely pimp it in my own journal when I get home, but if you haven't, it might be good to pimp it in the TW vid comm, icon comms, discussion comms etc. Or not. Just an idea. Unless you wanted it to just be an among friends kind of thing. Which is also cool.

I must have lost my mind because I'm considering attempting to make vidlets for each day...

I was debating pimping it (or just keeping it among my Sekrit Torchwood Cabal) and then I got all shy because I've never modded before, but you're right, I should shop the idea around. Because - whole internet = excited. Yay TW!

I am totally trying to make vidlets for two of the days, we can trade panicked last-minute betas if you want! *g*

I got all excited about the idea of doing character vid recs for each one...Then realized I could only really do that for Jack & Gwen. And maybe Ianto (although those tend to be Ianto/Jack). People need to make more character study vids in this fandom that aren't Jack or Gwen! (Although I haven't checked around for over a month. Maybe some gems have sprung up.)

Hey, please still do them on Gwen and Jack days! Jack and Gwen definitely get more coverage - but then, I'm trying to vid secondary characters right now, and the footage is just hard. Especially with a certain unnamed computer scientist.

I have a Tosh/Ianto vid completely worked out in my head. I just have to actually make it.

Yeah, I'll definitely do vid recs for Jack & Gwen. Because I am powerless against reccing vids.
