Okay, seriously, is there anywhere in the country that you can get celery and bell peppers at the same time? I don't think celery even grows here. It's as reasonable to ask me to put papayas in everything I cook.
Yes, yes, growing seasons are very different in upstate New York, but wow, there are zero recipes in Moosewood that don't want celery and bell pepper. They put them in the curry burgers. They put them in turnip soup! Why would you eat turnips when it's still summer? Augh!
(In fairness, now, the last week of the CSA, I do in fact have both bell peppers and some baby turnips. I'm just saying, it's 97/35 degrees outside, turnip soup is not yet on my radar.)
